Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Ilya Tsarenko — a UX/UI designer and digital art director with 18+ years of experience across agencies, studios, and product teams.
I design complex desktop and mobile applications and the design systems that hold them together — tokens, components, pattern libraries, the whole stack in Figma. I write custom plugins when a project needs faster tooling, and I’ve been building AI-assisted workflows into my process for the past couple of years. My background in graphic and web design means the end result doesn’t just work — it looks right too.
Most of my recent work has been with large US-based B2B and B2C clients — commerce, CRMs, real estate — the kind of projects where a solid system isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s the only way things don’t fall apart at scale.
Qualifications
Complex application design for desktop and mobile, and the design systems that hold them together — from tokens and components in Figma to production-ready specs.
I use AI-assisted workflows and write custom Figma plugins to automate repetitive work and move faster without cutting corners.
UX and UI design, visual design, prototyping, UI animation, and front-end-aware HTML/CSS.
Enough code literacy to speak the same language as developers and ship things that actually match the mockups.
